King, MD, submitted to the United States Patent Office an application for a patent that purports to be a “forensic system and method, including a methodology, for analyzing medical and pharmacy data to determine the legitimacy of controlled substance prescription and use, and to detect fraud, abuse, and/or diversion of controlled substances.”
