“Because many MDs, intimidated by the nefarious autocratic actions of the DOJ and DEA, have simply “retired” or shut down their pain care clinics. Those “retirings” and pain practice closings are no coincidence.
They’ve been going on nationwide for five years because clinicians are deathly afraid of DEA raids and are fearfully, intimidated by DOJ prosecutory entrapments.
Entrapments such as the catch 22 charges of “conspiracy,” which carries a sentence of at least 25 years in prison, that DOJ prosecutors hang over the heads of capriciously charged physicians and other clinicians (nurses, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants) if they don’t plead guilty to a lesser charge.

The pharmacology and unique properties of each opioid and patient individuality must be considered when a therapeutic opioid conversion is contemplated. Conversion should not simply rely on a mathematical formula embedded within the CDC calculator software.
Furthermore, the current calculation for methadone employed by the calculator could allow for potentially dangerous conversions. This is especially problematic, considering this calculator is intended to target nonspecialist general practitioners. We expect a higher level of scientific accuracy and integrity from an agency entrusted to protect citizens’ health and welfare.

In determining treatment for pain realize that most patients who present to a physician for treatment have already tried and failed the alternative treatments recommended before opiate pain medication is started. Realize that addiction from opiate pain medication affects only 1 percent of patients treated with opiate pain medication.
It was recently reported that Suboxone has been greatly underutilized. I wrote about this in my unpublished paper in 2016, “Opiate Addiction: The Pathophysiology Of A Chronic Disease “. I treated opiate-addicted individuals for more than 11 years. I did it based on several medical facts that I learned about and believed in.

DEA CREATES THE UNCERTAINTY

The use of MME was automatically flawed because it ignored even the most basic tenets of pharmacology, the absence of which made it impossible to rationally determine the relative strength of one drug to another.
Unfortunately, this methodology, which became the foundation of the CDC’s catastrophic 2016 publication Prescribing Guideline for Prescribing Opioids, has metastasized ever since as one state after another has passed laws limiting the prescribing of opioids analgesic, often based on the Guideline’s erroneous conclusions.”
