Qlarant’s partners include Health and Human Services (HHS)/ Office of Inspector General (OIG), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).

The 75th percentile applies to the entire — the entire population of prescribers that are included in the project that can receive scores, those meeting the minimum thresholds.”
Qlarant’s program places the top 25% of 70,000 prescribing physicians or 17,500 physicians in the high risk category. Then the top 5% of those 17,500 physicians the Qlarant computer targets 875 physicians for referral for criminal indictment. McCash states that a Qlarant computer score “of 951 to 1,000 is determined by the 95th percentile. The 75th percentile is used to determine whether or not they are high risk.”
