The DEA Director Ann Milgram, has “No value For Human Life.” The DEA is the single most heinous government agency whose tactics have led to unspeakable human medical torture of people suffering from Chronic Diseases such as Cancer and sickle Cell. It has resulted in increased costs of medications and delivery of healthcare across America.
Given 50 years of failure by her Agency to curtail the illicit Cartel Drugs, it is high time for Congress to remove the authority of the DEA from registration of control drug medications and assign this mission to the United States Office of the Surgeon General, as this agency has a more specific understanding of the overall field of medicine.
“As a Law Enforcement agency, DEA is not in a position to authorize or dictate what a doctor prescribes to a patient. DEA cannot grant waivers of any kind when it comes to the practice of medicine because no such waiver exists as the United States’ component body charged with the management of controlled substances and chemicals for scientific, medical research, and industrial applications; the DEA regulates the flow of control substances, not the practice of medicine.”
Thus, Law Enforcement has no business dictating the practice of medicine.
