SUMMARY
Dr. Wrenn’s biography reads like a testament to the American ideal of upward mobility powered by grit and service. A graduate of Cheyney University, the nation’s oldest historically Black college, and later Jefferson Medical School, he did not attend school under the cushion of legacy or affluence.

He worked full-time at the U.S. Postal Service while raising children and attending medical school. In the process, he became a symbol of perseverance, elected class president.

He later ascended to roles such as president of the Keystone State Medical Society and National President of Jefferson’s Alumni Association.
“In using statistics, the government now has the road map to switch from knowledge to deeds…”
A disciple of the pioneering addiction researcher, Dr. Mary Jeanne Kreek, one of the inventors of methadone therapy, Dr. Wrenn was decades ahead of public opinion in understanding addiction not as a moral failing, but as a chronic medical condition requiring long-term care.

Where Dr. Kreek was honored by elite institutions, Dr. Wrenn, Black, proud, independent, and serving the poor, was criminalized for applying the same medical science.
But unlike many who climbed the ladder, Dr. Wrenn never pulled it up behind him. He chose to return to his West Philadelphia roots to practice medicine in the very streets that had raised him, turning down more lucrative opportunities for a lifetime of service in one of America’s most underserved communities.

“The People’s Doctor vs. The Frankenstein Algorithms: The Rise of The Jeffrey Epstein School of Mathematics“

Jeffrey Epstein: A financier (deceased) with ties to elite institutions, he is described as having funded and influenced scientific research into genetics, AI, and predictive modeling with a technocratic vision.
“The Jeffrey Epstein School of Mathematics” refers to a cold, transactional, data-driven mindset in healthcare that prioritizes cost reduction and control, viewing lives as assets or liabilities. This “school” is depicted as being behind the creation of “Frankenstein algorithms” and influencing the weaponization of CDC guidelines.

Richard Khorer: Adolf Hitler’s Statistician, quoted in the article, saying, “In using statistics, the government now has the road map to switch from knowledge to deeds…” (His quote is used to illustrate the potential for data to be weaponized).
February 2021:
Dr. Wrenn’s Arrest and Charges: Dr. Walter F. Wrenn III is arrested and falsely charged with “Drug Delivery Resulting in Death” and involuntary manslaughter in connection with the overdose death of a patient, Ms. Hayes.
Ms. Hayes: A patient of Dr. Wrenn who died of cocaine toxicity. Her death was used as the basis for the false charges of “Drug Delivery Resulting in Death” and involuntary manslaughter against Dr. Wrenn. Her prescribed medications disappeared after her death. Disappearance of Ms. Hayes’s Medications: Medications prescribed to Ms. Hayes, valued at $4,000 on the street, disappear after her death, a fact ignored by government investigators.
Prosecution Strategy: The prosecution intends to rely on the testimony of Dr. Andrew Kolodny, a controversial psychiatrist paid as an expert witness, to advance a narrative blaming individual physicians for the opioid epidemic.
Falsified Prior Authorization Form: A prior authorization form, allegedly falsified by the insurance company, is presented as a legitimate doctor-generated document by the prosecution.
Invocation of “Deadly Triad”: The HFPP invokes the “deadly triad” myth (opioids, benzos, and other depressants) against Dr. Wrenn, despite his successful patient outcomes contradicting the theory.
Post-February 2021 (Events leading up to Dr. Wrenn’s demise):
- Loss of Medical License: Dr. Wrenn loses his medical license and his ability to practice medicine and serve his community.
- Continued Advocacy: Despite losing his license, Dr. Wrenn continues to voice his critique of the healthcare system, documenting his experiences and insights.
- Dr. Wrenn’s Untimely Demise: Dr. Walter F. Wrenn III dies.
Unspecified Date (Before July 2025):
July 11, Friday, 2025:
Publication of “The Martyrdom of Dr. Walter F. Wrenn III”: Neil Anand, MD, publishes an article detailing Dr. Wrenn’s persecution in Doctors of Courage and youarewithinthenorms.com, advocating for justice for wrongfully accused physicians, oversight of insurance companies, and restoration of medical autonomy.
