To the Montana Medical Board,
My name is Bob Sheerin, and I serve as the Executive Director of the American Pain and Disability Foundation. Additionally, I am a trained child advocate specializing in opioid therapies for children suffering from high-impact pain diseases or requiring end-of-life care.
Dr Mark Ibsen MD is a hero to so many, not to mention the best doctor I’ve ever worked with—period, in any medical area. Most of these children have medical PTSD from lack of pain treatment and are often scared of doctors. Yet they are not scared of Dr Mark Ibsen MD. with his smile and honesty and compassion from everything from bedside manner to the actual treatments.

“..Once upon a time, there lived a bison who wanted to help other animals, and so spent his life studying medicine to become a doctor..”
Doctors often say to me, “I can’t help, sorry,” or “I wish I could help, sorry,” or, my personal favorite, “I’m not writing a schedule 2 prescription and risk my family’s well-being sir!”
Doesn’t that kind of make the DEA the Doctor’s?
Somewhere in time, the order of what is important has spiraled out of control. These are the doctors who should be reviewed by Montana Medical Board. The doctors’ who don’t treat these cases should be the ones getting investigated. It has come to the point where good, helpful doctors will meet their demise just for being a wonderful doctor who advocates for their patients.

“..Without a thought, the doctor gave them his aid, one after the other, and each mouse he healed was grateful. Soon, however, he began to tire and eventually became exhausted, yet still more mice came. “Surely, though, this deed will be worth it in the end,” he thought, and strengthened his resolve..”
Which Dr Ibsen is known for “nationwide.”
Since 2016, I’ve been fighting for kids and we have lost more than 40 children’s doctors to prison, early retirement, or moving into a different field. What this does is punish the children and adults with something worse than any jail sentence: the loss of medical treatment!
Torture is a word I use often and seems to fit the crime! If this were a parent doing this to these innocent children or adults it would be called abuse! State Medical Boards call this form of censuring, policy.

We, as advocates, have had bills passed in several States–including Illinois HB 5373–where we can start to repair the damage caused by censuring by medical boards. Board actions have caused suffering through under-treated, high-impact pain. The bills have decreased suicides of pain patients feeling hopeless caused by the loss of their medical providers by relaxing over-reaching legislation and medical board actions.

So it was that the Bison came upon a family of mice who were all sick, but they had nothing with which to pay for the doctor’s aid.
Dr. Mark Ibsen’s unique relationship with his patients sets a standard once expected from all doctors. His patients enjoy watching Dr. Mark Ibsen’s many charitable acts, contributions, exercising skills, vitamins, and the sharing of his medical knowledge for free on his podcast and public appearances.

Now doctors don’t even know your name and you’re treated like cattle. The frequent urine tests and pill counts leave the patients feeling like prisoners and criminals.

Dr. Mark Ibsen is a physician known for his compassionate care. Many of his patients have experienced mistreatment by other doctors or have been traumatized.
The Montana Medical Board’s decision will impact the well-being and future care of so many individuals.
Doctors are expected to adhere to high standards of medical ethics, including the principle of doing no harm. Dr. Mark Ibsen is an example of a physician who has committed to using his extensive education to care for and respect his patients. This commitment involves advocating for their well-being through appropriate means.

“But without my care, your children will die. I must help, it is my duty,”
In closing, his weekly updates and interviews are crucial for his patients, offering them hope and the possibility of positive change. Your decisions affect many lives, Montana Board of Medicine. Show your support for the disabled community by helping those who need it most.

I invite any member of the Montana Medical Board to spend a week with me advocating for kids to gain a better understanding. One would then see how crucial Dr. Mark Ibsen MD is to maintaining quality of living for patients under his care. Nothing like watching kids screaming to wake you up in the morning without medical care or medication.
In conclusion thousands will suffer and possibly end their lives without the great Dr Mark Ibsen MD the quality of life giver! As he’s known around the USA
!

Montana B.O.M show the USA just like Illinois HB5373 and say enough is enough and let our great doctors be what they were meant to be “Healers!”
By letting this great man do his everyday job (Doctor) saves thousands of lives everyday!

Thank You
