Smoking tobacco causes multiple types of cancers, and 13% of deaths are alcohol and drug-related. Approximately two million Americans have Diabetes, including about 300,000 children and adolescents. The majority of diagnosed cases are Type 2 Diabetes, which is often associated with obesity.
As I have written elsewhere, “everything that the US government thinks it knows about the opioid crisis is wrong.” Pain is the symptom that often brings patients to a doctor’s office.
But more than half of all US community clinics are refusing new patients seeking pain management; law enforcement and State Medical Board intimidation have criminalized the practice of pain medicine, driving doctors out of medicine in droves.
Likewise, the number of clinicians who have recent training in the evaluation of research protocols that lie behind the journal papers they read, is miniscule.”

Silence of the womb is it. Some of THE MOST EGREGIOUS medical practices are done in gynecology and they completely LIE TO PATIENTS AND DISREGARD women’s pain and trauma. I could write an entire book just on the gynecological traumas I’ve endured. But I’ll sum it up with my story of IUD insertion. After 20 years of period pain so bad I would pass out, and being told this was “just part of being a woman.” I finally saw a “Pelvic Pain Specialist.” He wanted me to try the Mirena IUD. I expressed concern about the pain of insertion, but he laughed it off, telling me “You like drugs too much!” I allowed myself to be abused and violated because this seemed to be the norm in gynecology. In his first attempt, the searing pain from my uterus spat the IUD right back out. Second attempt, same thing, only this time, the nurse noticed I was “turning green,” so she offered me a trash can to vomit in. On the third attempt, tears streamed down my cheeks, and my uterus again spat the device immediately back out. On the forth attempt, he pressed so hard that he punctured my uterus. This was not the “small pinch” of pain I was promised. This was absolute torture. Finally, since HE was having a hard time, the doctor suggested we do the procedure under sedation…as he should’ve in the first place. Never again will I be able to trust a doctor who tells me that something will not hurt, or I’ll “just feel a small pinch.” If men had to have devices implanted through their urethras into their bladders, they would NEVER be treated with this disregard.
