Overall, the MME dosing approach is an unuseful tool for standardizing and comparing opioid potency; it has significant limitations and should never be used in clinical practice.

I have often wondered about the morphine equivalency issue because morphine isn’t really what you might call “the Cadillac of pain killers”… It hasn’t really held that title for a long time. Im no genius so possibly there’s some kind of reasoning there that escapes me. But the rest of this is so true, and I wish it were commonly known how flawed the CDC logic was/is. I loved the quoted parts about struggle.
