“STATE SPONSORED SYSTEMIC RACISM…INNOCENT HEALERS LOCKED IN CAGES”

racially TARGET and prosecutE  successful Indian ORIGIN -American physicians and dentists

This article from youarewithinthenorms.com serves as a passionate advocacy piece and legal summary alleging a systemic conspiracy between the American government and private corporations to racially target and prosecute successful Indian-American physicians.

A black and white image of a Post Office building with a sign reading 'POST OFFICE'. Overlayed text details Britain's Post Office Scandal, highlighting the wrongful convictions of sub-postmasters due to flawed software programs.

By drawing a direct parallel to the UK Post Office scandal, the text argues that federal agencies utilize flawed data analytics and faulty software to manufacture fraud charges, effectively seizing the assets of minority medical practitioners for the benefit of their competitors.

The points include recognizing the crisis faced by Indian physicians in the U.S., initiating governmental inquiry into human rights violations, and applying economic pressure on American corporations operating in India.
TO THE PARLIAMENT OF INDIA: AMERICA’S CONTINUED PERSECUTION OF INDIAN PHYSICIANS “MUST BE ADDRESSED”

The narrative highlights the personal devastation of figures like Dr. Shiva Akula, whose legal battles are framed as a fight against judicial misconduct and the denial of fundamental human rights.

TARGETING SUCCESSFUL DOCTORS OF INDIAN ORIGIN IN AMERICA

This article aims to mobilize the Indian Parliament and international entities to apply economic and diplomatic pressure on the United States to end what it characterizes as regulatory racism.

According to Investigative Journalist Angela Green, from an excerpt in her upcoming book, Legalized Extortion, a book based on the research of Dr. Barbara Reynolds, which sat unreported for nearly 35 years:

THE RACKS

This fact is probably not much of a surprise, as it is typical for people of color to be disproportionally represented in criminal justice.

A group of medical professionals wearing white lab coats stands in front of barred windows, displaying serious expressions and concern.

I remember this fact from the many criminal justice classes I took in undergrad and graduate school. From the school-to-prison pipeline to everything in between, Blacks are over-represented. Black doctors make up less than five percent of the medical community, yet some 54% of Black doctors have been imprisoned or are on a path of imprisonment through government targeting… This is alarming for many reasons.

How many of us knew fellow students who were exceptional in school, clearly destined to be any kind of doctor they hoped to be, because they had what it took?

After all, most people who choose medicine as a profession welcome the academic rigor because, somewhere deep down, they want to help people and use their knowledge and skills to make them feel better. Almost all of the doctors I interviewed said they wanted to become doctors to help people, and, if given the chance, would do it all over again, despite the targeting.

CHRISTOPHER RUSSO, MD, a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Ann Arbor, did a two-year fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of South Florida, and a post-fellowship in Advanced Interventional Pain Techniques at Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. He and his co-defendants were indicted in a thirty-seven-page indictment. He was indicted on five counts of health care fraud, aiding and abetting. and found “Not Guilty.”

None of them said they would not become doctors because it was too difficult. Some, like the pain doctors, Dr. Christopher Russo, a pain management doctor who was arrested in a SWAT-style FBI raid at 6:00 in the morning, accused of overprescribing pain medicines, said he might choose another area of practice, which is understandable since pain doctors are definitely on the government’s menu.

Dr. Russo was acquitted after a seven-week trial. None of the over twenty doctors I interviewed has ever been in any trouble before in life, especially not any legal trouble.

So, imagine their surprise when they were bum-rushed in their bedrooms in the middle of night by dozens of Drug Enforcement Agents (DEA), and Federal Bureau Investigators (FBI) agents with guns blazing, confiscating everything they thought they wanted from gold bars to credit cards, to cash, and cars, which is called civil asset forfeiture—which is significant to the attacks on doctors.

According to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice, 52-year-old Jessica Joyce Spayd — who was convicted of 10 charges on Oct. 27, 2022 — was sentenced to 30 years imprisonment by U.S. District Judge Joshua M. Kindred. Spayd must also forfeit the $117,000 in profit she earned from the enterprise. Case Overturned

After all, civil asset forfeiture makes it worth their while, especially when you get to keep whatever you find or take. I haven’t met one doctor who had any of their belongings returned, even of the few who were acquitted in trial, found guilty of nothing!

The government still kept everything they took. Is this starting to come into focus for you now? Are you beginning to see the benefit of targeting people who have wealth, material things, assets, cash, etc.?

Dr. Kumar enjoyed teaching students and residents. Residents routinely rotated with Dr. Kumar and learned skills needed to conduct advanced pelvic surgery from him. He trained residents at the University of Tennessee, Memphis campus, in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Kumar also taught the residents how to perform robotic hysterectomy & complex pelvic surgery utilizing robotic and laparoscopic equipment. Dr. Kumar routinely helped other physicians with complex surgical cases as needed, often in the middle of the night, on a voluntary basis. Now facing 600 years in Federal Prison.

Dr. Linda Joann Whitby, MD, OB-GYN, and seaplane air pilot, was a specialist in addiction medicine. This provider has 50 years of experience. “RAILROADED AND EVICTED”

This issue of targeting doctors of color is most important to me because I am sixty-year-old Black woman with emerging health issues like high blood pressure, controlled diabetes, chronic back and knee pain and soon and very soon, I will not be able to find a doctor who looks like me, and neither will you, and that scares me and it should scare you too.

As a people, we know what kinds of dastardly things have happened to us in the past, and what still happens today.”

Dr. Terence Sasaki, M.D., one of the worst cases of law enforcement abuse (he is very, very bitter) of a medical doctor in America, a Neurologist who received his Medical degree from the University of Hawaii and completed a residency at New York University (NYU). Supposedly confessing to a 2005 crime in a 2007 interrogation the DEA claimed was unrecorded, Dr. Sasaki was indicted (2010) and then convicted (2012) of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and launder money. Served nearly 10 years in Federal Prison for being an easy enforcement target.
