UNJUSTLY TARGETING

Dr. Anand is a cardiac anesthesiologist who graduated from Albany Medical College in New York. A decorated physician, he was the youngest doctor at Ground Zero on 9/11 and served his country as a lieutenant in the United States Army, where he worked at Walter Reed.  

Dr. Anand was indicted in 2019 for healthcare fraud after the prosecutors presented a case built on only six patients, all of whom had documented pain and were already on controlled substances from their primary care physicians before being referred to him.
