“The medical system here in Farmington, NM, is collapsing at the hospital. I’ve talked to many here; they smell what I’m stepping in.
This is all due to the govt misconduct and corruption within the system. Doctors are persecuted and treated as criminals.
Yet the newer ones are robotic and lack compassion. Compassion is lost these days, and I am not surprised, but I do feel bad things coming. WTF are they teaching now in medical schools about pain?
Shit rolls downhill, and at the very bottom are older legacy pain patients. I just went through HELL with cervical stenosis pain newly diagnosed (it screams level 10+and I’ve almost collapsed medically). ER here is no help because it is me, and if they treat me badly, I talk about it.
A TARGET ON YOUR FOREHEAD
I have fought at the ER here to no avail and am too weak to keep that up. I am going slowly to the head of the hospital admin about the ER situation when I am recovered.
There is likely a target on your forehead if you are an older pain patient, especially if you are vocal. I am worn out by it.

We are not equipped to handle merciless bad medical treatment by discontinuing rapidly the meds we took for many years, and we lose stability medically with these forced fast tapers (not done in any medically appropriate way and lacking medical reason).
I have to say, a few docs in every state in 2016 could have gone to legislators and shut this shit down. Given the finger to the CDC guidelines and said fuck them; I will decide how to treat patients. They did not do it.

Please go comment on the Federal Register about their plans to limit opioid supplies here and increase the flow of amphetamines, which do not address deadly chronic pain.

LOL speak up to change things? Sorry, Norm, I have been for years and NOBODY LISTENS much less the US Government. Not my Senators, Congresswoman, NOBODY. I WILL die from my disease and its severe pain and the LACK OF TREATMENT due to the DEA’S INTERFERENCE with my HEALTHCARE. The lawyers in my state have been BEGGED to help me and refused. The GOVERNOR refuses to help me. My Senators and Congresswoman cover their “assets” and refuse to help me. One of them is a DOCTOR. Makes you wonder, huh? And ALL of my healthcare providers in my town HAVE REFUSED or have STOPPED HELPING ME.
I WILL SUCCUMB to my pain. My body will not be able to take it much longer. That’s what happens with progressive CRPSII.

The DEA has regulated and intimidated the medical industry and healthcare professions in this country to not provide or train their providers to provide their clients with pain care to eliminate them from society— to, in reality, KILL THEM by lack of treatment. PEOPLE LIKE ME.
And that is the TRUTH. Murder by DENIAL OF CARE or SUBSTANDARD CARE.

I hear you…I am feeling exactly like you do. I can’t force you to keep trying, but I really hope you choose to. It is only the voices of ppl like us that stand a chance since most of the good docs have been jailed. The rest are cowards or sheep. I know what kind of bullshit you have been put through. But I connected with you so quickly due to that, and I would be interested in what state you are in. If we can encourage others to keep on pushing for changes, we may stand a chance. But yes, there is suffering in all of this, and exhaustion. It is the only thing that keeps me here besides my dogs. Please don’t give up now. Things are building and there will be great suffering and democracy itself is hanging in the balance. Please don’t give up yet. Nothing important ever happens without a fight.
