On May 26th, crowds gathered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to protest the death of 46-year-old George Floyd at the hands of the city’s police department. Floyd was black. Many of the protesters were people of color.
The department fired four policemen that same day after footage appeared to show Floyd being strangled by a white officer; the video shows him placing his knee on Floyd, cutting off his air supply.

This is a lawsuit about how the government, in its quest to go after the crime, creates opportunistic criminals who put themselves out as ‘star witnesses’ for the overzealous prosecutors hired by the Department of Justice across the country.
Dr. Akula’s driving purpose in commencing these actions is to continue to raise global awareness of the racial targeting in the United States of successful Indian physicians and to cause it to conclude through government intervention and economic pressure on American corporations conducting business in India.
These criminals get recruited as witnesses for the government who are willing to provide false testimony for the government’s case to guarantee a successful outcome by securing a conviction, usually against a high-profile defendant like a physician who is well-established and has a successful business involving Medicare billing.
AMENDED COMPLAINT FOR DAMAGES
HARDWORKING INDIAN DOCTORS, ONCE THEY BECOME SUCCESSFUL, THEY’RE PORTRAYED AS CRIMINALS
On January 10, 2023, prominent Indian physician, Dr. Shiva Akula, MD, filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida (Miami) (23-CV-60034) against, among others, an insurance agency acting on behalf of the American Government. Dr. Akula, an internationally recognized physician and philanthropist, claims that he was criminally indicted on August 5, 2021, consequent to a scheme perpetrated by his market competitors and governmental prosecutors.
As previously reported, “The tactics employed against Plaintiff Akula have been employed, since at least 2012, against many other successful and innocent Indian physicians, most of whom remain incarcerated in American jails.”These hardworking Indian doctors, once they become successful, are portrayed as criminals who came to this country to steal the American dollar as if they contributed to this country.

There is a mob element in the Government (prosecution) that lied about my relative fleeing the country; therefore, I was presented as a risk to flee. This lie was presented at the Detention hearing where I was almost jailed.
The next time when my mother died, I was told a similar lie that another Indian physician who went to India never came back. I had to show my dead mother’s photo, which was unacceptable; the cremation certificate was also deemed bogus.
They insisted on a Death certificate, which took weeks, but I missed out on the bereavement for my family, who were grieving. My mother, aware of this legal trouble, did not die in peace knowing that she produced a child who was portrayed as a criminal who stole money.
THEY STOLE OUR MONEY
Meanwhile, Capitol One (Defendant No. 2) illegally freezes and holds on to a significant amount of more than USD 30,000 for the grant to Akula Family Foundation (Plaintiff). Further, Akula’s son, a Captain serving in the United States Air Force, also had his bank account frozen. He was unable to buy food for his children.
The eldest member of the Akula Family now struggles with the severe agony of seeing how his nephew failed to adieu a graceful farewell to our mother.”
