What do these terms actually mean?
How are they determined?
What is the evidence that they actually exist?
Who coined the terms. Are these terms taught in medical schools?
How many pills and what kind of pills need to be prescribed to be labeled a “Pill Mill “?
How many patients receiving prescriptions does it take to be labeled a “Pill Mill “?
When opiate pain medication was approved by the FDA was the addictive nature defined and were they categorized as slightly addictive, moderately addictive, and “ Highly Addictive “?
Did the FDA or any medical authority determine what amount or quantity of opiate pain medication constituted “Over-Prescribing “? Does “Pill Mill, Highly Addictive “, “Over-Prescribing”, or MME’S appears in the Controlled Substance Act “?
How then have these terms been introduced in criminal charges against health care providers and health care providers been convicted of violating something that doesn’t exist except in the vernacular of prosecutors?
How then does one prove or disprove a non-existent entity?
Of course, it can’t be done. There needs to be an immediate review of all cases where these terms were introduced and immediate dismissal of all charges against health care providers.
